Summary: By downloading, installing, or using Server by ShanApps, you agree to these Terms of Service. Server by ShanApps provides a local, offline environment to run and manage backend database servers directly on your device. You retain 100% ownership and responsibility for your local database files, schemas, and credentials.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Server by ShanApps ("the App", "the Service"), developed and maintained by ShanApps ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Server by ShanApps, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms.

2. Permitted Use & Software License

Server by ShanApps grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and run the application on supported devices (Android, iOS, macOS, Windows, Linux) strictly in accordance with these Terms.

  • You may use Server by ShanApps for personal, educational, commercial, or enterprise software development and testing.
  • You may run multiple instances of the server on supported local ports.
  • You may not decompile, reverse-engineer, modify, or distribute modified binary packages of the application wrapper without express permission.

3. Local Software Architecture

Server by ShanApps provides native background runners, user interface controls, and local sandbox management. All database files and services execute locally on your hardware with zero telemetry sent to external servers.

4. User Responsibilities & Data Backups

Because Server by ShanApps operates 100% locally and does not synchronize with any cloud server:

  • Data Responsibility: You are solely responsible for managing, securing, and backing up your local SQLite database files (located in /server_data_<port>/data.db) and any file uploads.
  • Credentials Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any admin credentials and superuser accounts created through the application interface.
  • System Compliance: You are responsible for ensuring that running local network servers conforms to your organizational security policies.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

Server by ShanApps is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the application will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of bugs.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall ShanApps, its developers, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption arising out of your use of or inability to use the application.

7. Modifications to the Terms

We reserve the right to revise or update these Terms at any time. When updates are published, the "Last Updated" timestamp at the top of this document will be revised. Continued use of Server by ShanApps following updates constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
